    When contacting the UMIT Service Desk, you will work with a technician that can perform tier 1 troubleshooting. This means that the technician will assess the problem to determine if it is something that can be resolved over the phone or email, or if it requires an in-person visit from a technician. Many issues can be resolved over the phone or via email since Service Desk technicians have access to remote control software to perform further troubleshooting on your computer.
