Alicia Jessop, Assistant Professor
Prof. Jessop received her JD from Chapman University School of Law and a BS in Economics from the Colorado School of Mines. Prior to joining UM, Jessop practiced law and in 2012 she launched the widely-read sports law website, RulingSports.com. Tywan Martin, PhD Assistant Professor
Prof. Martin previously worked at Indiana University where he earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD degrees. Martin’s primary research focus is on the influence, persuasion, and impact of media messages on consumer behavior across various platforms.
Susan Mullane, PhD, Clinical Associate Professor
Prof Mullane received her PhD in Higher Education/Sport Administration from the University of Miami. Dr. Mullane teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in Sport Administration In addition to leadership and ethics, she has taught conflict management, motivation, and research methods.
Paul Resnick, Sr. Lecturer
He received a M.Sc from Saint Thomas University. Resnick has six years experience working in professional sports, all with the Florida Marlins. His duties included overseeing the Florida Marlins Speakers Bureau, Ballpark Buddies for Youth and coordinating the team newsletter and events calendar.
Warren Whisenant, Professor and Associate Chair
Prior to UM, Prof. Whisenant was a faculty member and program coordinator at the University of Houston. His research, most of which has focused on gender and organizational issues within interscholastic athletics, has been published widely. His professional background includes over twenty years with Hewitt Associates, KFC-USA, and Frito Lay, Inc.
